Celebrating Lisa Marie Newcomb with the inaugural Inspiring Woman Award, Presented by the cny women’s network & Nascentia Health

at the 2026 CNY Women’s Summit, Hosted by the CNY Women’s Network, we were proud to introduce something new—and deeply meaningful to our community: the Inspiring Woman Award.

Created by the CNY Women’s Network in partnership with our presenting sponsor, Nascentia Health, this annual award honors one Central New York woman who leads with courage and vision while creating space for other women to rise.

This year, we were honored to name Lisa Marie Newcomb as the inaugural recipient. Through her work with Thrive in Healing and the Syracuse Yoga Collective, Lisa has created spaces for individuals in central new york to slow down, connect, and heal.

Announcing Our 2026 Honoree:

The inaugural award was announced live on stage at the Summit on March 27 at The Oncenter in Syracuse. We are honored to recognize Lisa Marie Newcomb as the 2026 Inspiring Woman Award recipient.

Lisa Marie Newcomb is the Founder and Wellness Facilitator at Thrive in Healing and Co-Founder of the Syracuse Yoga Collective. She is also an author, speaker, Lululemon ambassador, and a 300-hour Registered Yoga Teacher.

But more than her titles, Lisa is a true community builder—someone who creates spaces where people can soften, heal, and connect with themselves and each other.

Her work is grounded in a powerful belief: wellness is a birthright. Through trauma-informed experiences centered on rest, embodiment, and collective care, Lisa is committed to making healing accessible, culturally relevant, and rooted in community. In her acceptance, Lisa shared a sentiment: “I’m here because of the women who came before me, beside me, and after me.”

A Practice Rooted in Community and Care:

Through Thrive in Healing and the Syracuse Yoga Collective, Lisa leads experiences designed to support the whole person. Her offerings create intentional space for reflection, restoration, and connection—whether in a studio, at sunset, or within community-centered workshops.

• Join Lisa for wellness workshops and speaking experiences for youth, caregivers, and women’s groups, creating space for real conversations, healing, and connection. Lisa’s books are open for consulting and workshop opportunities for organizations, schools, and community spaces.
